Freight shipments should be clearly marked with the cruise number and responsible scientist and addressed to:

• Shipments not properly marked as noted above may be refused if they can't be identified.
• Shipments addressed to the Hatfield Marine Science Center at 2030 SE Marine Science Drive may be delayed, lost or refused.
• COD shipments will not be accepted.

Ship Operations (see below) should be notified in advance of any shipments which will require storage, particularly inside, or a forklift to unload.

Outgoing shipments will be made, but all items must be appropriately packed, clearly marked, and an inventory provided. The responsible scientist should make arrangements with the shipper for pickup and payment.

All freight deliveries or pickups, including equipment brought by scientists which will require Ship Operations forklifts to handle, should be scheduled for the normal workday (0800-1630, Monday-Friday). Special arrangements can be made when the ship is loading or unloading on a weekend or holiday.
