CONTACTING THE R/V WECOMA

At Sea

The ship is equipped with several communications devices for communications between ship and shore. When close in shore off of U.S. waters, a cellular phone system may be used, but when the ship is farther off shore, or out side of U.S. coastal waters, then it is necessary to use the INMARSAT satellite communications system.
